Beginning on July 6^th, enjoy a whole month of concerts on the mountain. From movie nights with live accompaniment, classical to blue grass and jazz concerts, this is the perfect opportunity to share your love of music with the kids!

2. Discovery Ridge Center

There is a wealth of entertainment for the whole family just a 5-minute drive from the Fairway Chalet. The Discovery Center is Open to ALL AGES, but must be 12 and older to be left alone.

Indoor fun includes:

3. Appalachian Horse Adventures

Hit the trail together! Riders as young as 6 can enjoy this family adventure. You will have a private experience seeing the Virginia countryside in all its glory!

4. Sherando Lake Recreation

Known as the “jewel of the Blue Ridge mountains” families can picnic, swim from a sandy beach or hike multiple trails. On weekends cozy up to the campfire in the amphitheater.

There is a small fee of $8 per car to enter.

5. Chestnut Springs Pool

Just down the street is the Chestnut Springs Pool and Pavilion. It is open for guests every day from Memorial Day to Labor from 2 – 6pm. Since it can be cool on the mountain the pool is heated. Need a break from swimming? Kids can enjoy the playground, too.
